Houses

The School is divided into four houses after the names of the various distingushing Women Personalities. Each girl is placed in one of the four houses. Each house is recognized by its totem which is a 'FLOWER’ and each house has been assigned a ‘Colour’ which differentiates one from the other.
The House System is devised to promote the qualities of leadership, responsibility, team spirit and positive self esteem in girls.
Healthy inter house Competitions in various activities are held .The House System also provides an excellent way of meeting girls outsides one's class and age group, all of whom have a common goal and purpose.
Each house is headed by a House Mistress. House Meetings are held at fortnightly intervals to discuss and plan the house related work.

Florence Nightangle
The Florence Nightingale House is named after the name of the celebrated social reformer and the founder of modern nursing, Florence Nightingale . She came to prominence while serving as a nurse during the Crimean War, where she attended to wounded soldiers. She was dubbed "The Lady with the Lamp" after her habit of making rounds at night.
Sky Blue color has been assigned to this house.
The Florence Nightingale house is recognized by its totem, Crocus (Kongposh) . The stamen of this flower is widely known as ‘Kesar’.

Helen Keller
The Helen Keller House is named after the name of an American author, political activist, and lecturer, Helen Adams Keller. She was the first deaf / blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She was the lady who inspired changes in public attitude about the capabilities of people with visual impairments.
Olive Green color has been assigned to this house.
The Helen Keller house is recognized by its totem, Crown Lilly , which is perennial that blooms from the bulb during the spring (the first flower after winter season).

Sarojini Naidu
The Sarojini Naidu House is named after the name of Indian Independence activist and poet Sarojini Naidu. She is also known by the sobriquet "The Nightingale of India" She was one of the framers of the Indian Constitution. Her birthday is celebrated as Women's Day all over India.
Pale Yellow color has been assigned to this house.
The Sarojini naidu house is recognized by its totem, Daffodil which is an attractive trumpet-shaped perennial flower that blooms from bulb during the spring in Kashmir.

Pandita Rama Bhai
The Pandita Rama Bhai House is named after the name of the Indian poet and the scholar, Pandita Rama Bhai. She was a social reformer who dedicated her life for the upliftment of women.
Light Pink color has been assigned to this house.
The Pandita Rama Bhai house is recognized by its totem, Lotus which is a beautiful flower that grows in lakes and ponds in the areas where the water remains fairly still on the surface.It is found in abundance in Kashmir.
